Hello Johnson Grove
Family,
Wow! What a busy month we have had. We have also had a
glorious time in recent days with our Father truly blessing our family here.
I would like to welcome the Silvernails into our
family at Johnson Grove. We are blessed to have the new owners of Travelers Inn to be a part of our church. We
are also blessed to have Cindy Ashmore to part of our church. We are thankful for these new members are excited
to se what more awaits from our Heavenly Father.
We had a great time on our recent trip to Columbus Georgia.
The “Youth Venture” trip was an awesome success. I believe we had a
total of 13 churches represented. We had approximately 250 young people and adults. Some of the projects include
a "Camp For Kids" with over 1300 back packs where assembled with supplies for needy children. We had no less
than 9 B.Y.B.C. every day, at least one door to door evangelism team, and 3 block parties of which the largest
had over 250 attendees (not counting our people). These people where fed and the Gospel was shared. We had 4
houses vinyled, 4 houses painted, roofed a church, built and roofed a new building, walls removed and rebuilt in
a ministry center, and cleaned a whole city street. All this drew the attention of 3 T.V. stations and several
news papers. Please pray and consider about being a part of this adventure next year. Dates are July 5th through
9th, 2010. Thanks to all form our church who went.
We have paid off our passenger bus! We are so grateful for
all who gave so generously and with a vision to reach our community. Please pray for God to utilize the bus so
he may be glorified!
We have had a new sound system donated and installed! Thanks
to all who participated in this. Special thanks to Bro, John McMahan for hooking up the
equipment.
We also want to remember in prayer the Drivers and
Stairs families who have lost loved ones in recent days. Our prayers and love go out these loved ones in their
time of grief.
We are preparing for our next mission trip at the present,
to go to Polk county in East Tennessee. We will be working on a ministry building for the Agape retreat center
for the Polk County Baptist association. Bro.Ryan Potts is Director of Missions their, and is doing a wonderful
job.
We are also preparing for a trip to Antigua in January. We
will be working along side of Mid-Continent Bible University of Mayfield Kentucky. We will be doing construction
and ministry on the island. Pray for those who will be going.
We also have the opportunity to ordain two men to the
ministry of our Lord! Bro. Ralph Winters and Bro. John McMahan. We are grateful for their calling and pray that
God will utilize them in an awesome way.
Pray for our nation, our sick, and our hurting people. Pray
for the Lost of this world and in our communities. Pray that Gods will use you to make a
difference!
